January 21st 2017
January 21, 2017 witnessed the successful handing over of Sunon Asogli’s second unit (180MW) of the Phase II Project. The second unit has since been put to commercial operation.

April 18, 2016 Chairman Yu Zhengsheng of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana jointly inaugurated the First Unit of Sunon Asogli Power’s Phase II (360MW) Project.

October 10, 2010 the second set of 100MW unit of the Phase I Project passed the required Trail Test and was put into commercial operation.

September 20, 2010 witnessed the successful handing over of the first set of the gas-steam combined cycle unit of the Phase I Project; the first set of the100MW unit has since been in commercial operation.
