THE SIERRA LEONEAN HIGH COMMISSIONER TO GHANA VISITS SUNON ASOGLI POWER PLANT.

In accordance with the presentation given by Mr. Elikplim Kwabla Apetorgbor (Ely)- Deputy Manager for Commerce & Marketing, to the Government officials of Sierra Leone, on Shenzhen Energy achievements in West Africa particularly Sunon Asogli Power Plant in Ghana, the Government of Sierra Leone has strongly desired the same investment intervention in the energy sector for their country.
Sierra Leone is a West African country with a population of about 7.5million.
The country suffers from acute power generation and transmission challenges. The country presently manage an exorbitant 100MW emergency Karpowership for power supply in her capital town, Freetown.
To show seriousness of His Excellency Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, he charged Her Excellency, Mrs. Frances Virginia Anderson, the Sierra Leonean High Commissioner to Ghana and her team to visit the Sunon-Asogli Plant to formally invite the leadership of Shenzhen Energy Group Company - West Africa Development Unit to Sierra to explore the investment opportunities in the power sector- particularly generation and transmission.
