Sunon Asogli Power has donated Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE) and other Covid-19 relief items to the Ministry of Energy.
The items include 10 Automatic hand sanitizer dispensers, 1080 Alcohol-based hand sanitizer gels, 10000 face masks, 100 Disinfectants, 1080 Liquid soaps, 500 Dry paper, and 40 Spray bottles.
The gesture was in response to an appeal made by the Ministry in order to more effectively, contain the spread of Covid-19. Speaking at the brief handover ceremony in Accra, the General Manager of Sunon Asogli Power, Mr. Jin Zhengyi said the Company is delighted to assist the Ministry in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. According to him, with unity and solidarity, we will defeat the virus. He also reiterated the commitment of Sunon Asogli Power to its corporate social responsibilities in the future.
On his part, the Director in Charge of Power Distribution, Engineer Chris Anaglo who received the items on behalf of the Ministry was grateful to the Company for the assistance.
He commended Sunon Asogli Power for the donation and assured that the Covid-19 relief items would be put to good use.
Also present at the event were Deputy General Manager Mr. Steven Lu, HR & Local Administration Manager Mr. Mfum Kwakye and several staff of the Ministry of Energy.
