Ensuring the Right Maintenance Standards in the Power Plant
The Maintenance Department is one of the key divisions of Sunon Asogli Power Limited (SAPL) that specialize in the provision of maintenance services to all equipment within the vicinity of the power plant. It is comprised of other sub-divisions namely the Electrical Maintenance Division, Mechanical Maintenance Division and the Instrumentation and Control Division.
The department coordinates the activities of over thirty technicians and engineers who are dedicated to providing the power plant maintenance services, contributing to the attainment of customer satisfaction.
It is true to say that the Maintenance Department take the mission and vision of the company seriously, as evidenced by their special emphasis on providing excellent and quality services in close collaboration with SAPL’s Operations Department. This collaboration can be termed as a life long process.
The first step in this process is to identify the specific needs of the Operations Department, which are mostly tailored to meet the needs of our customers. This close contact with the Operation Department is maintained throughout the work life cycle to keep the Maintenance Department informed to allow the execution of services ranging from preventive to corrective maintenance as well as the supply of spares for the replacement of all or any faulty equipment and parts being utilized within the plant. These includes photovoltaic and thermal plant parts and equipment.
The department’s team of dedicated staff is its utmost priority. The importance of this is displayed by the departments effort to ensure that safety is a key factor in its business through occupational risk prevention and training, thus ensuring highest standards of safety and quality. This follows the company’s operation principles on safety.
The Maintenance Department is always ready to ensure maximum energy production at the plant under optimal conditions at all times in order to maximize the plant’s service life. This is obtained by employing the most up-to-date predictive maintenance techniques.
