Sunon Asogli Power Ranked 44th Best Company in the 2022 Ghana Club 100 Awards

The 19th edition of the Ghana Club 100 ranked Sunon Asogli Power (Ghana) Limited 44th out of the top 100 companies in Ghana due to their contribution to the economy and maintaining an excellence in power generation.
The 2022 Ghana Club 100 Awards was held on Friday, 15th October at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.

The rankings were based on the company’s size, growth and Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. This year’s edition was ranked based on the company’s achievements between 2019 to 2022.
The Ghana Club 100 was introduced by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) in 1998 to encourage, nurture and push Ghanaian business to compete in the international market.Ghana Club 100 features an annual collection of 100 outstanding companies in the Ghanaian business landscape. The event celebrated its 19th anniversary as anchored by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) was duly themed “Ghana’s Private Sector, a Catalyst for Post-Pandemic Economic Transformation”.
Sunon Asogli Power (Ghana) Limited (SAP) has over the years remained steadfast in contributing immensely to Ghana’s energy sector. As the first Indepenedent Power Producer (IPP) in Ghana, the company contributes approximately 15% of Ghana’s total electricity production. As part of the company’s corporate social activities for the year under review, SAP contributed a Sysmex and Hematology Analyser to the Kpone Polyclinic to help improve health care in the community. The company also constructed a firestation to serve as a first point of emergency for the Kpone community.
The company is happy for the recognition and look forward to improving its contribution to Ghana’s energy sector.
