Sunon Asogli Power Supports Kpone Polyclinic with Water

Sunon Asogli Power, has reaffirmed its commitment to community development by donating GHS 30,000 to the Kpone Polyclinic. This donation aims to support the polyclinic’s growing need for water.

At a brief ceremony held at the facility on 27th March 2025, the Acting Chairman of Sunon Asogli Power, Mr. Kwame Wang, highlighted the company’s dedication to the well-being of the Kpone community. He noted that the hospital now requires approximately 50,000 liters of water every two weeks to sustain its medical operations and growing patient base. Recognizing this urgent need, Sunon Asogli Power donated GHC30,000 to support the polyclinic. Mr. Wang emphasized that this contribution is going to be an annual commitment to support the polyclinic’s water needs.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the hospital, Dr. Jemima Querte Mensah, Medical Superintendent of Kpone Polyclinic, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Sunon Asogli Power for its generous support. She emphasized that access to clean water is critical for health care delivery as per the WHO health directive and that this donation would help ease the financial burden of the polyclinic as it frequently buys water. She also commended Sunon Asogli Power for its continued efforts to support health care initiatives within the community.

The event was attended by representatives from Sunon Asogli Power led by its acting Chairman, Mr. Kwame Wang, and management and staff of Kpone Polyclinic and other distinguished guests. The donation marks yet another milestone in the company’s commitment to its corporate social responsibility, reinforcing its role as a key partner in national development and strengthening the friendship between China and Ghana.
