Sunon Asogli Power Explores Investment Opportunities in Zambia’s Electricity Sector

Togbe Afede XIV, Director on the board of Sunon Asogli Power, led a delegation from the company on a visit to Lusaka, Zambia, from April 2nd to 4th, 2025. The purpose of the two-day visit was to explore investment opportunities in Zambia’s power sector. This initiative is part of Sunon Asogli Power’s efforts to understand and propose sustainable solutions to address electricity shortfalls in the country.

The delegation paid a courtesy call to the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Commerce, Trade, and Industry to discuss the government’s vision for the sector and how private investments may be oriented for its realization. During the visit, the delegation also met with ZESCO Limited, Zambia’s national power utility and representatives of the China Africa Development Fund (CADFUND).

Sunon Asogli Power is actively seeking the support of the Zambian government to establish and operate solar photovoltaic power plants in the Western Province and other regions across the country that are rich in solar resources.
