Chairman Kwame Wang pays a working visit to the Northern and Savannah Regions

The Chairman of Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Limited, Mr. Kwame Wang, has embarked on a significant two-day working visit to the Northern and Savannah Regions of Ghana. The visit, which took place from May 7 to May 8, 2025, aimed to foster key relationships and inspect ongoing renewable energy projects in the northern sector.

On the first day of his visit, Chairman Wang paid a courtesy call on Lawyer Ibrahim Mahama, Esq. in Tamale. As a gesture of appreciation and a symbol of the company’s vision for sustainable energy, Chairman Wang presented Lawyer Mahama Esq. with a framed design of the proposed 50MW Solar Plant. He commended the lawyer for his dedication and commitment, assuring him of continued collaboration and mutual progress.

Later that day, Chairman Wang visited the Savannah Region to pay a courtesy visit to His Majesty Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, King of Gonjaland. During the visit, Chairman Wang presented the framed design of the solar plant to His Majesty and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering a successful and impactful renewable energy project. He emphasized that with the continued support and wise counsel of the Yagbonwura, this project would represent a significant milestone in Ghana’s transition to renewable energy.

His Majesty the Yagbonwura and Lawyer Ibrahim Mahama both expressed their gratitude for the Chairman’s visit and pledged their unwavering support to ensure the timely and successful execution of the solar power project.

On the second day of the tour, May 8, Chairman Wang visited the ongoing solar power construction site at Walugu, on the outskirts of Walewale.
