SAP’s Mental Health Awareness Programme: Addressing Stress with Dr. May

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, Sunon Asogli Power reaffirms its commitment to employee well-being with a timely and insightful programme focused on stress management. Hosted by renowned psychologist Dr. May Cullen Wulff-Caesar from Equilinks counselling and psychological services, the programme delved into the intricacies of stress, offering invaluable insights and practical strategies for coping both at home and at work.

In today’s hyper-connected and competitive workplace, stress has become an ever-present companion for many employees. Recognising the importance of addressing this issue, Sunon Asogli Power organized a comprehensive programme aimed at fostering a culture of mental health awareness and support within the company.

Dr. May Cullen Wulff-Caesar, a licensed psychologist, led the session with a blend of expertise, empathy, and practical wisdom. Drawing from her years of experience working with individuals and organisations, she illuminated the various sources and manifestations of stress, empowering attendees with a deeper understanding of its impact on mental and physical well-being.

The programme went beyond merely identifying stressors; it provided staff with techniques to effectively manage stress in their personal and professional lives. From mindfulness practices to boundary-setting strategies, Dr. May offered actionable advice tailored to the unique challenges faced by employees in the energy industry.

Mr Fish Lin, the Deputy General Manager, expressed gratitude to Dr May for the enlightening discussion. He reiterated that the company will take mental health seriously and continuously regularly assess the well-being of its personnel.

The chairman, Mr. Yang Qun, and management were present at the event. Mr. Yang extended his gratitude to Dr. May for speaking on such an important topic and promised to hold additional sessions for workers. The programme was held in a hybrid environment for all Sunon Asogli Power employees and contract workers to take advantage of.
