Sunon Asogli Power continues to demonstrate its commitment to community development through the active involvement of its staff in meaningful social initiatives. In line with this commitment, staff of the company recently made a donation to Kpone Sebrepor Manye in support of a girl child empowerment programme aimed at equipping young girls with practical skills for self-reliance.

The initiative focuses on training girls in soap making and other artisanal skills, providing them with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial abilities at an early stage.

Khadija Torbay, Emmanuel Enos-Edu, and a few staff presented the donation of GHS5876 to the Queen Mother of Kpone Sebrepor, Naa Maku Aasoyoo Blemayoo I. She expressed her sincere appreciation to both the staff and management of Sunon Asogli Power for their thoughtful contribution and continued support for initiatives that uplift young women. She noted that such interventions play a vital role in shaping a more empowered and self-sufficient generation.

The skills empowerment programme took place on 27th April, 2026. It commenced with participation from JHS3 students of Kpone Presbyterian School, marking an important step toward nurturing confidence, creativity, and economic independence among young girls in the community.

This effort reflects Sunon Asogli Power’s broader approach to corporate social responsibility, which goes beyond corporate initiatives to actively encourage staff participation in community-focused programmes. By fostering a culture of giving and engagement, the company ensures that its impact is both meaningful and far-reaching.

Sunon Asogli Power remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote education, skills development, and social inclusion within its host communities. The company believes that empowering young girls with practical skills is a powerful investment in the future, one that contributes to sustainable community growth and development.
