Sunon Asogli Power Honoured for Corporate Excellence in Safety at National Safety Awards 2025

Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Limited Company has been awarded the highest category award in Corporate Excellence at the maiden National Safety Awards 2025, which was organized by the Ghana National Fire Service Safety Directorate.

The ceremony, which took place on 11th July 2025 at the Headquarters of the Ghana National Fire Service in Accra, was graced by the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak MP, who served as the Guest of Honour.

The prestigious award was presented by the Honourable Minister for Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak. This national recognition celebrates Sunon Asogli Power’s strong commitment to upholding safety at every level of its operations. The corporate excellence award signifies the company’s exemplary safety performance, with consistent adherence to industry safety benchmarks, its innovative safety practices, including regular emergency drills and proactive employee training, outstanding leadership in promoting a safety-first culture, with strong management involvement and employee engagement, and a positive measurable impact on workplace and community safety.

Receiving the award on behalf of the company was Chairman Wang Jinxiao. He underscored the importance of keeping a “safety first” culture at every stage of operations. Speaking after the ceremony, Chairman Wang said, “Safety is part of the operational culture of Sunon Asogli Power. We see it as essential in protecting lives, maintaining operational excellence, and contributing to the well-being of the community around us.” He added that receiving the award was a proud moment for the company and shows the effort of management and staff in prioritising safety as a core value.
